Education & Training

IERE offers a variey of workshops, webinars, conferences and classes, all intended to further education and knowledge sharing around the life cycle science disciplines. Below is a list of our current offerings.

Classes

Our LCA 101 course is designed to teach the fundamentals of Life Cycle Assessment and covers 1) project management aspects when conducting an LCA, 2) the steps to perform an LCA, 3) basic methodological and data considerations, 4) data sources, 5) interpreting results, plus more.

Life_Cycle_Thinking

Our decisions have implications: large and small, direct and indirect. Once you make a decision, a whole domino effect is put into motion.

Webinars

Our webinars, covering a variety of educational and environmental topics, are offered through the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment. Webinars are held every two months and the list is accessible at our ACLCA website.

Conferences

Through the ACLCA, IERE hosts the only conference solely dedicated to the furthering of LCA science in North America. For more information about the LCA XIII conference as well as the LCA Food Conference 2014, please visit our ACLCA website.

Workshops

WEBS (Water, Energy, Biology, Sustainability) training is designed for the business or agency that has already made a decision to change their corporate mind set towards real sustainability in the workplace. WEBS training will help you find ways to conserve water, energy and resources and then provides the tools to measure outcomes. It has been offered at the boardroom level down to the blue collar worker and while the concepts of are the same at all levels, presentations are tailored to the audience and are directly linked to the decisions that audience makes every day.
